Description:

Burnaby Blacktop Ltd. is looking for an experienced Superintendent to oversee field operations and crews across multiple projects. This role is suited for a strong leader with solid construction experience who can manage people, production, scheduling, and costs in a fast-paced environment.

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of construction experience, including supervisory roles

Qualification:

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience overseeing multiple crews or job sites
  • Strong understanding of field operations and scheduling
  • Experience with job costing, daily reports, and production tracking
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Solid safety background and commitment to safe work practices
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 is an asset)

Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do

  • Oversee and support multiple foremen and field crews
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate crews, equipment, and materials
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule
  • Work closely with project managers and office staff
  • Review and monitor job costing, production, and budgets
  • Identify and resolve site issues proactively
  • Enforce company safety policies and COR standards
  • Conduct site visits, inspections, and quality control
  • Support, mentor, and develop foremen and crew members
  • Assist with short- and long-term planning of work and resources
