Heavy Duty Mechanic

Description:

Burnaby Blacktop Ltd. is currently seeking a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or an experienced Apprentice to join our team at our Burnaby location.

Qualification:

• Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic or Apprentice with relevant hands-on experience
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment is an asset
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license
• Strong commitment to workplace safety

Responsibilities:

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining high safety standards
• Keep accurate service and maintenance records
• Work collaboratively with shop staff and the operations team
