Education Requirement:

High School

Experience Required:

Must have 1 year experience as a Seal Coating & Crack Sealing Technician

Qualification:

Must partner with other crew members and perform additional tasks of other positions as instructed by the Field Supervisor and/or Operations to ensure daily schedules are met
Must maintain a courteous and professional manner with supervisors, co-workers, customers, and the public at all times
Must work productively, quickly and safely to meet production goals as outlined by the Field Supervisor or Project Manager

Skills:

Should be able to pay attention to details
Must live within commutable distance of our office in Burnaby
Should have great communication skills (English)
Must be able to work with projects around Lower Mainland with minimum supervision
Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job
Happy working in a team environment
Must be willing to work flexible hours

Responsibilities:

Minor asphalt repairs
Routering and cracks filling commercial parking lots and driveways
Sealing and finishing by broom
Prepare tools and machines needed for seal coating or crack sealing
Secure work area by setting up and removing traffic cones and barricades
Ensure that the work area is clean and well prepared prior to starting the job
Apply the seal coating and crack sealing materials by using the relevant tools/machine
Monitor inventory and maintain storage of supplies
Ensure that equipment and tools used are cleaned and kept well after each job

Work Hours:

9 a.m - 5 p.m
