Pay: $30–$38 per hour (based on experience)
Description:
We are seeking an experienced Paving Raker to join our paving crew.
The successful candidate will work closely with the paving foreman and equipment operators to ensure asphalt is placed, levelled, and finished to grade safely and efficiently.
Experience Required:
Previous experience as a paving raker.
Qualification:
Requirements:
- Ability to work long hours in physically demanding conditions
- Strong understanding of grades and asphalt placement
- Team player with good communication skills
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license
Responsibilities:
- Rake and lute hot asphalt to proper grade and depth
- Assist with asphalt spreading, leveling, and finishing
- Work alongside paver operators and screedmen
- Check grades, slopes, and elevations as directed
- Perform handwork around edges, curbs, catch basins, and tight areas
- Maintain a clean and safe work site
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
- Assist with general labour tasks as required
